Today we’ll just focus on those looking to make money online since it’s one of the most competitive niches to break into, so you have to put in extra effort to earn income and helping others will give you an advantage over those who are in it for themselves:

1. Action -- choose a few people to mentor but only pick those who are serious about busting their butts to reach their goals.  Don’t waste time on tire kickers and whiners because they will only slow your process and waste valuable time.  Once you have made your choice don’t coddle them. Make them work hard but smart since you don’t want to lose them.  Action speaks louder than words so lead by example!

2. Interaction -- create a line of communication with your customers, prospects and subscribers.  Once they have purchased something from you or joined your list it is important to follow up with them consistently. Find out if they need help with anything.  Ask them for their opinions. Get them involved.  You can create tons of information products based on their needs.

3. Satisfaction -- ensure you are providing quality products, recommendations and services at all times.  Don’t pitch every new product that hits the scene.  It is best to promote only things you have joined or purchased yourself or at the very least products or services provided by well-known and trusted companies and people.  If you create your own products offer outstanding guarantees and own up to them.

People use the Internet for finding information and although many will come online to make purchases they won’t dive in and buy something without digging through the wealth of information available about a product or service.

In this business, many people will tell you not to reinvent the wheel but although I agree to a certain extent I also believe you should still add some snazzy rims to set yourself apart from everyone else.  The tools I’m covering today is necessary to help you do just that.

Here are the 4 Online Marketing Tools Needed To Start Earning Income Today:

1. Hosting -- is an Internet hosting service that is set-up to provide people and businesses their own website accessible online.  You are provided with space on a server allowing you to store files connected to that site.  This gives you a professional platform to brand yourself because you have control over your blog or site, what you add to it and how you present it.

Side Note -- when purchasing a domain name for your site try getting your name (for example: jimmyadames.com) or try finding keywords or keyword phrases which identifies your brand (for example: make-money-online-tool.com)

2. Website Builder -- is self explanatory but just to be clear on one thing they are not all created equal.  Most quality hosting services will provide you with website builders and templates but you should be able to find better site builders to work with that are either free or low-cost.  I like creating my own splash pages, lead capture pages and web pages and although I’m not a professional designer it beats paying for someone to do them for me.

Side Note -- there will come a time where money won’t be an issue and I highly suggest you do pay a professional designer to create at the very least some banners and splash pages but if you can’t afford it don’t let that hold you back because any website builder with a WYSIWYG editor will do just fine until you can invest in some quality designs.

3. Autoresponder -- the simple way to explain an Autoresponder is to think of it as a program that automatically responds to email sent to it.  Autoresponders not only automatically answers emails sent but it remembers who sent the email and follows up with them whenever you tell it to… automatically.

Side Note -- don’t make the mistake of using a completely free Autoresponder service.  Building a list of future and present customers is key to your long-term success and you do not want to put the future of your business in the hands of a free service because you may come to regret it, so make sure you make a wise choice by doing your research.  Some services will give you a free trial so take advantage of that.

4. Ad Tracker -- testing and tracking your ad’s effectiveness could save you a lot of time and money.  Knowing what is working for you and what is not could make the difference between failure and success, because the last thing you want to do is waste valuable time and money you probably are struggling to hold on to already.  This is another tool that is very inexpensive and may come with an Autoresponder service.

Please keep in mind, this is just a foundation to the work you have to put in to start earning money online but with these online marketing tools you will be in a great position to do so much sooner.

So if you are wondering how is it that you are going to write all this stuff don’t worry because you can take one article and convert that into an autoresponder series, a blog post, a mini-report, a podcast, a video -- the possibilities are endless.

Always remember, whenever you write an article or a blog post you will have the opportunity to re-purpose that content so don’t go nuts thinking ahead about what to write because you can take advantage of the one article you have already written.

Today, I want to cover 5 things you can do with your Blogger site to start getting traffic to it but the ultimate way will always be the content so the next part will get into that a lot more.

Phase 3

1. RSS Feed -- an RSS (real simple syndication) is used to publish frequently updated content, such as blog entries and other announcements. You should encourage people to subscribe to your RSS feed.

When people have access to your feed this gives them instant access to your latest entries and it gives you a great avenue to bring in consistent and returning traffic. To maintain that flow of traffic continue to provide quality content.

2. Badges, Buttons & Widgets -- using certain components can help your traffic generation but it’s up to you how many things you want to throw on it.  I would focus on a few weeks of content before adding too much stuff but when you do build content here is just a few things you can add afterwards:

AddThis -- The AddThis button spreads your content across the Web by making it easier for your visitors to bookmark and share it with other people, again… and again… and again. This simple yet powerful button is very easy to install and provides valuable Analytics about the bookmarking and sharing activity of your users. AddThis helps your visitors create a buzz for your site and increase its popularity and ranking.

BlogCatalog -- BlogCatalog is more than just a social community for bloggers; they are one of the largest blog directories on the internet. Whether you are looking to search blogs, connect with bloggers, learn more about blogging, or promote your own blog, BlogCatalog is for you.

Feedburner -- FeedBurner is the leading provider of media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Our Web-based tools help bloggers, podcasters and commercial publishers promote, deliver and profit from their content on the Web.

MyBlogLog -- Discover who’s visiting your site, and connect with your readers.

SocialTwist -- SocialTwist brings ‘Widget Applications’ that can add a twist to the way visitors use a website or a new way employees of a company collaborate at work.

There are a lot more out there, so do your research and see what will work for you.  More importantly Blogger offers many gadgets to make it easier for you to add things, so if you want to keep things simple go to Edit Layout and click on Add A Gadget and you will get a list of all the things Blogger offers.

3. Bookmarketing, Sharing & Social Networking -- I mentioned adding all the fun stuff above but it is important to understand the power behind those gadgets.  Bookmarking is a way for Internet users to store, organize, search and manage websites they have bookmarked. Sharing these bookmarks with other people gives you exposure because others will share their bookmarks containing your content.

if you use Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or any of the hundreds of social networking sites offered today you must have realized how powerful these sites can be to your exposure. These platforms offer areas to add information about you, your business and interests which will all lead to your Blogger site and an increase in traffic.

4. Viral Marketing -- these days it’s so easy to create your own audios, videos, podcasts, e-books and mini reports. What does this have to do with your blog? Well, how about using one of these marketing platforms to promote your blog?

The key to viral marketing is getting people to pass your content along to others and have them pass it along to others, etc. Just imagine that happening multiple times over. You can use platforms available to submit audios, videos, etc., so others can pass your content to others freely without spending any money, if at all.

Remember what I said about re-purposing your content earlier;-)

5. Blog Carnivals -- a blog carnival is simply a post that contains entries from other blogs. Links from other sites that have similar content is a great way to bring in visitors, so submitting a content rich article with no sales pitches or affiliate links from your blog is a great way to get traffic.

You can either set one up yourself or submit your entry to a handful of carnivals weekly.  Again, wait until you have a few weeks worth of blog entries before you that. When you are ready visit Blog Carnival to submit your first entry.

For this phase of the plan it is important you fully understand what an autoresponder is, so I want to get that out of the way now.

What Is An Autoresponder?

The simple way to explain an autoresponder is to think of it as a program that automatically responds to email sent to it.

Autoresponders not only automatically answers emails sent but it remembers who sent the email and follows up with them whenever you tell it to… automatically.

Effective sales people know that the fortune is in the follow-up. This is why good sales people spend so much time following up on past clients, making repeat sales calls, sending postcard reminders, sending out brochures to the same people, going through their list of contacts to see who they haven’t talked to in a while.

Autoresponders takes care of following up with your online prospects automatically.

Phase 2

1. I’m going to assume you went with TrafficWave because you receive a 30 day Free Trial with no payment required to join and the point of this plan is to start making money without spending any of your own, so please go to your back office and on the left hand side of the page you will see an area called Quick Links and click on Training Articles.  Then choose the category Autoresponder. Then choose from the  list of Articles -- How To Create An Autoresponder.

It’s very simple and the training material at TW is easy to understand but again if you need help, please contact me at ask@jimmyadames.com (SPAMMERS will burn in hell) and I will do my best to help you.

2. Once you have created an autoresponder you must add a series of messages to begin building a relationship with your subscribers.  For an example, sign up to one of my lists by visiting the following squeeze page and enter your name, email address and click submit and you will get a Free Report titled (click on the title) Free 7 Day Viral Traffic Automation Guide and pay close attention to the whole process from beginning to end.  You will receive a series of emails throughout the next few days.

3. Add an opt-in area on your blog/website by copying over the HTML code provided by TrafficWave or the autoresponder you have decided to go with.  At TW you would go to your back-office (provided you set up an autoresponder), click on Autoresponder at the top then Autoresponder Campaigns, then at Manage A Campaign choose the autoresponder you set up, then click on Capture Pages on the left hand side, then Generate Capture Form Data (HTML), then copy and paste over the code to your Blogger site in the layout section.

This may all sound confusing but once you get the hang of it you will be kicking yourself for not having  autoresponders sooner.  Just like anything else you need to read the training material at whatever autoresponder service you decide to go with.  I went ahead and added an opt-in section to the blog I’ve set up for this plan as your guide: CLICK HERE.  You can place it wherever you see fit, but I wanted to squeeze in both the About Me section (for branding purposes) so I placed the opt-in section above the area where the blog posts (once we start adding articles) will begin.

4. There are 2 other components I need you to add to the HTML code you have copied over -- both will have to be URL’s that will lead to a page once someone subscribes to your list and the other other will be to the page after the person confirms their subscription.

Additional Website Intergration Fields

Landing URLs: To allow a more “seamless” integration with your website, you may insert URL values for these two form fields:

subscrLandingURL -- redirects to specified URL after a person subscribes to your campaign.

confirmLandingURL -- redirects to this specified URL after a person confirms their subscription.

These form fields must contain a valid URL (e.g. http://www.yourwebiste.com/thankyoupage.html)

You can use the following services for some of those components:

OTO Goldmine -- this system offers the subscriber a One Time Offer and you can earn some commission if they decide to purchase the package offered or they can say No Thanks and go to a thank you page you can set up or have the default page kick in.

Instant Bonus Page -- this system offers free bonuses to the person once they confirm their subscription you can send them to a download page and have some free bonuses added where you get other opportunities to earn some commissions if they decide to upgrade at any of the free bonuses offered.

5. Other than an opt-in form at your blog/website you want to have a lead capture or squeeze page.  This is simply a page encouraging you to sign up to their list by offering something of quality in return.  It could be a free e-book, report, software, newsletter membership, free membership to a site, etc.  TW provides you with Lead Capture templates or you can create your own and copy over the HTML code as you would do to add the opt-in form to your blog/website.  If you signed up to the list I mentioned above you saw my squeeze page, here it is again -- CLICK HERE.

For this list, I decided not to go with an OTO page so it goes straight to a Thank You page with instructions to whitelist my email address and the subscription confirmation leads to a download page I created myself using My Free Website Builder because I have a place to host the page and quality hosting is NOT free.

Here are 2 other powerful marketing tools that can help you with both squeeze pages and info products to give away to help you build your list:

Instant Squeeze Page Generator -- this system will allow you to choose from various squeeze page templates including e-books and reports you can give away to your subscribers if they sign up to your list.  All you have to do is follow the steps and add in the lead capture HTML code from your autoresponder.

Phase 1

1. Have something available to organize your usernames, passwords, etc.  Being organized increases productivity.  Use notepad, a spreadsheet or a quality password manager such as RoboForm.

2. Sign up for a separate free GMAIL account at Gmail.com and try funneling a specific campaign through that account to monitor more easily.  In other words, try using that one account for the one product or service you are promoting.

3. Sign up for a Blogger.com account using your new Gmail email address.  Google has so many free tools you should be taking advantage of as many of them as possible and using the same email address for all will keep everything organized.   This will be your blog/website.

4. Also using your new Gmail address sign up for Google Analytics. This will help you keep track of your Blogger site’s traffic activity.  Again, this is also free.  All you have to do is copy the HTML code provided by them and paste it to your blogger site.  Very easy stuff.

5. Sign up for your 30 Day Free Trial at TrafficWave.  Although you may have chosen another product to promote you still want to use their autoresponders to build a list of targeted subscribers.  Also, if you can get 3 ACTIVE members signed up to TW it will remain free. This plan will help you do that.

Whether you chose my recommended product TrafficWave or something else you need to approach the marketing phase with one thing in mind and NO it’s not making sales.  Of course, that is your ultimate goal but to effectively make those sales consistent you need to build a list of prospects and start building relationships with them.

You need to have a system to build a list and to contact them.  An autoresponder gives you an outlet to do both.  That is the reason I chose TW because not only does it provide me with a way to earn an income using the Internet but it also provides everyone online a way to grow their business and make more money by using autoresponders.

Up to this point not one dime would be spent for the 3 components above.

In Part 3 I will start showing you exactly how you can start making money with the components above.  Remember, study the concepts I’m providing and not just the products I suggest.  I know not everyone will go with my product recommendations but I hope that you put the plan I will describe into action, therefore the remainder of this series will be crucial so please come back.
