Since Monday, I’ve been giving props to traffic exchanges because I truly believe they can be a great addition to people’s marketing arsenal in the Internet & Network Marketing niche. It’s also a place where no one is bullshitting you. There is no secret. You are there to promote and everyone knows that or at least you should.
TE’s are simple to use, they are free and/or very inexpensive to financially promote your product or service, a wonderful place to get ideas for your own marketing, you can start building a list quickly, and more importantly a productive place to brand yourself.
Here is a list of blogs I’ve posted since Monday if you haven’t had a chance to read them:
Tracking Your Ads – Don’t Discriminate Test & Track
Traffic Exchange Marketing – Tracking Your Way To Profits
Traffic Exchange Marketing – Get Social By Meeting The Owners
You would probably think I’m a traffic exchange owner at this point, but I’m not, Would I consider owning a TE? Perhaps, but it’s not part of my long-term goal. I will tell you this, I will in some way, shape or form be part of traffic exchanges for a long time to come.
In today’s post I want to come full circle with all of this. I have given you my reasons why I use traffic exchanges, I’ve gone over my current testing and tracking campaign including the components I’m using, I’ve also pointed out how the social marketing platform is also a big part of TE’s.
Not too long ago before Twitter and all the other awesome social media stuff consumed so many of us, blogging was and still is an automatic weapon in most serious Internet marketer’s arsenal. None takes it more seriously than Tim Linden and yes he is a traffic exchange owner – StartXChange.
Why is this important?
Because this gives you another platform to learn more about the owners and another place to leave comments and ask questions.
Tim’s blog is one of my favorite blogs inside and outside of traffic exchanges because he goes into testing in great detail, he also uses video and is very into the Web 2.0 stuff – Tim actually set up the Facebook Traffic Exchange Group and he also created Twitter Me Fun to help people grow their list of Twitter followers.
One of my other favorite blogs is actually a weekly newsletter written by Jon Olson. He uses a blogging platform for his newsletter and I still look forward to his Hit Exchange News post every Thursday. By the way, Jon is one of the most recognized owners in the TE industry and he owns a few of the hottest traffic exchanges like ILoveHits & S.W.A.T Traffic.
Here are 5 other blogs by traffic exchange owners you may find interesting:
Owner – Guido Nussbaum – this guy gets it. Guido already made his mark in the Internet Marketing industry but knew well enough to give us a great new traffic exchange with endless possibilities.
Owner – Paula Brown Zuehlke – Paula is not only a very successful traffic exchange owner, but she is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve come across in this business. Check out her blog and you will see what I mean. She cares.
Owner – Sored Jordansen – here is another guy who really gets it, but what I like about reading Soren’s stuff is the ease it is presented. His IM Success Formula report is a great example of that. If you want to get an Internet business up and running quickly check that report out.
BOOT SCOOTIN TRAFFIC – Blog Link
Owner – Sunny Suggs – never mind that I love her name, the name of her traffic exchange and the results I’ve gotten using BST but Sunny has also given us AllAboutAdd-ons.com. She has made it possible for people to understand how to work with add-ons and not be afraid of using them because she makes it easy to learn.
Guess what?
Tony doesn’t own a traffic exchange, but he has a big voice in the industry. He’s been using them for years and is someone you can get some great tidbits from especially if you are undecided about using TE’s. This gives you a great perspective from an actual and successful user.
Add the blogs I’ve mentioned above to your RSS Feeds and get to know the traffic exchange owners because they are blogging too.

I have given up on Traffic Exchanges and consider them a waste of valuable time.
From my experiences, I found almost all web sites in the exchanges were network marketing or affiliate type programs. Very quickly I ignored everything and ran multiple TE browser windows just to collect my credits.
After awhile I realized everyone is singing the same song. I don’t want to get in your deal, I want you to get in mine.
For every person who raises their hand and says they’re successful with TE, there are a thousand who haven’t made a penny or captured one name.
I think to be successful with TE, you have to create a unique product or service that could not be copied without fear of infringement. If your product or service is remotely familiar to what’s currently being displayed in TE, you will fail.
On the other hand, if you own a TE, you are making a fortune! It’s sort of like the California Gold Rush. While everyone was trying to find their pot of gold, the people who made the real money were the ones selling the picks and shovels. TE owners sell upgraded memberships.
In the end I thought to myself, “If Donald Trump had to start over, would he use Traffic Exchanges?”
Thanks David for passing by and leaving us your thoughts. I truly appreciate it.
I don’t agree with you, because I’ve heard and used the same lame excuses but we are entitled to our opinions that is why social platforms kick ass.
I’ve mentioned in my posts if you are promoting anything outside of Internet and Network marketing on traffic exchanges you are probably going to fail.
To say that for every one person successful with TE’s a thousand haven’t made a penny or capture a name is outrageous.
So your argument is that everyone who writes articles, uses Google Adwords or Adsense, participates in forums, or any other advertising or marketing platform succeeds? Everyone?
The bottom line is – if you DO NOT test, track, use splash pages and brand yourself instead of promoting affiliate sales pages at a TE you are doomed.
Guess what? That goes for anything you use to promote your product and service and I’m sure you know that.
If you go into traffic exchanges expecting everyone and their mother to sign up to your program then you will definitely suck at using TE’s.
Creating your own product or service is something everyone should aspire to but no one goes into this business with that luxury. There is a learning curve.
Now, don’t hate the TE owners for making money. Why the heck would they own traffic exchanges in the first place? That’s a cop out.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe if you are going to rely solely on traffic exchanges you may have a tough time in this business but it’s undoubtedly an excellent source to build a list and brand you and/or your biz so it’s foolish not to use them if you are in the Internet & Network marketing niches.
By the way, people surfing traffic exchanges wouldn’t be buying what the Donald is selling and it’s safe to say he is smart enough to know that.
Hi Jimmy
Thanks for the kind words. Traffic exchanges are a great source of free or low cost traffic. They are really good for getting subscribers to ones’ lists. Unfortunately. many try direct selling using company affiliate pages.
Like your are doing….it’s best to get people to subscribe to your list and then try selling to them.
Excellent blog Jimmy!
Cheers!

Thanks Tony for your comments and visit, I’m humbled.
